  - A couple of weeks afterwards I received a letter from Qld Transport (previous car had Qld plates) stating that the car was still in my name and that I needed to either renew/discontinue rego. I called Cardiff Car City and was informed by the car yard that the plates had been surrendered in a bulk surrender of traded-in vehicles, however they did not have an idea if my plates were on any of their lists. Nonetheless, I submitted a form from Qld Transport stating that I no longer owned the vehicle and no longer have the plates.

  - In the beginning of December, I started receiving toll notices from Westlink M7 that my car had gone through their toll road (or someone using my previous plates). I've had to do a stat dec for each toll notice (so far 3).

  - After driving 5 hours to get to Cardiff, I had informed them that I was terribly inconvenienced and asked that they could do something for me as a matter of goodwill. They provided a full tank of fuel (tank was already half full) and a basic extended car warranty that only covered the mechanicals.

  I purchased a used Hyundai i30 wagon back in mid-October. The car, so far, has been absolutely brilliant and I cannot fault it. The issue that I have is the customer service problems that this car yard has put me through in order to get this vehicle:

  - A couple of days ago, I received a call from NSW Police stating that my vehicle was found 'burnt-out' and wondered whether I still owned the vehicle and whether it was reported stolen. I explained to them what was previously stated.

  If you ever trade-in a vehicle to this car yard, or any yard for that matter, make sure you do the due diligence and submit to the RTA the disposal form from the back of your rego papers. If you are from interstate, like I was, make sure you look at the website of the RTA equivalent agency from your respective state in order to ensure the disposal process from your side has been followed up.
